How to take care of your STAAR® treatment unit!
The same rules that apply to a traditional septic tank apply to a STAAR® treatment unit. The most important things to remember are that you should prevent TRASH and TOXINS from going into the system. This means no paper towels, wet wipes, feminine products, or other unflushable litter should go down the toilet. And you’ll have to prevent chemicals such as paint, solvent, and harsh chemicals from going down drains, while being judicious with how much and what types of household cleaning detergents are used.
